CHEYENNE -- The 7220sports Kickoff Show earned first place for best sports coverage -- large market -- at the annual Wyoming Association of Broadcasters Saturday night in Cheyenne.

Cody Tucker and Jared Newland co-host the weekly Cowboys' football show while Mat Ozee serves in the role of producer.

"Huge thank you to all the Wyoming fans who listen to us every week," Tucker said. "We have a passionate following and it means the world to us. This award is really for them. We're just a couple Wyoming natives having fun talking about our state's team It's really that simple.

"We're excited for the future of the show and making it better and better every year."

The 7220sports Kickoff Show can be heard each Saturday throughout the fall on 1290 KOWB in Laramie. You can download the app right HERE. You can also check out previous episodes of the show right HERE.

All entries at this year's ceremony were judged by the Montana Broadcasters Association. The winning entry focused on Wyoming's upset victory over Air Force and looked ahead to the Pokes' meeting with longtime rivals, BYU. You can hear that episode right HERE.

Tucker, the brand manager and founder of 7220sports.com, has been an employee of Townsquare Media since 2021. Newland serves as a local sales manager for the company. Ozee recently accepted a position at WMOT Roots Radio 89.5 FM in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
