LARAMIE -- New coach. New players. New era.

New duds.

All week, the official Twitter account of Wyoming basketball has teased the Cowboys' new look for the 2020-21 season. Monday, the unveiling happened.

Take a look:

For the first time since the Heath Schroyer era, the Pokes will play basketball in a brown uniform. The last time that happened the 2010-11 roster featured players like Afam Muojeke, Adam Waddell, JayDee Luster and others.

The brown jerseys and shorts do have a late 80's feel to them, too.

"Fennis (Dembo) will be proud and happy to know the Cowboys will be wearing brown uniforms," new head coach Jeff Linder wrote on Twitter last Friday night. "The shorts are about the same length."

Linder credited UW equipment manager Miranda Trible with the new designs.

The brown jerseys feature "Cowboys" in gold on the front in the school's official font. The white uniform combo has "Wyoming" across the chest in brown.

The Pokes will also wear a gold uniform combo with the script "Cowboys" on the front.

All three jerseys integrate traditional piping around the arms and collar. The Steamboat logo appears on the front left side of the shorts.

Wyoming will tip off the season Saturday against Mississippi Valley State inside the Arena-Auditorium. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
