LARAMIE -- Thursday wasn't an off-day for Jeff Linder and Co.

Wyoming's new head coach snagged Marcus Williams, a guard from the Houston area, in the afternoon. Drew LaMont, a 6-foot, 8-inch forward from Plantation, Florida, followed.

Official signing day is set for April 15.

LaMont averaged 13.3 points a night in 15 games last season at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida. The sophomore added nearly four rebounds per game. LaMont also shot 41.5 percent from the field and 38.7 from beyond the arc.

LaMont played his first season of collegiate basketball at American University in Baltimore, where he averaged 17.5 minutes a night. There, he shot 35.6 percent from the field and 36.1 from three.

LaMont also had offers from Stony Brook, Central Michigan, Appalachian State and former UW head coach Heath Schroyer and McNeese State.

Linder has now added four recruits to the 2020-21 class since taking over for Allen Edwards on March 17. Xavier DuSell, a guard from Gilbert, Arizona, was the first to sign with the Cowboys. Another guard, Drake Jeffries, a junior college transfer, also inked with Linder.

Wyoming currently has four players in the NCAA Transfer Portal: TJ Taylor, Greg Milton III, Tyler Morman and Brandon Porter. All tend to transfer aside from Taylor, who is still open to returning to Laramie.

Hunter Maldonado, the Cowboys leading scorer last season, and Hunter Thompson, will also return to the roster next fall. Kwane Marble and Kenny Foster have yet to announce their future plans.
